8 Mile bridge over I-75 to close westbound lanes for 2 weeks

To allow for concrete repairs, the westbound lanes of 8 Mile Road will be closed on the bridge above Interstate 75 for approximately two weeks beginning Sunday, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
The road is expected to be closed through mid-October, however, drivers can continue to travel on 8 Mile using the service drive lanes. Eastbound 8 Mile has all lanes open with repairs scheduled at a later date.

The road is expected to close at 6 p.m. Sunday.
