Prince William and Kate Middleton may be having a fairytale romance but it was not like this before they tie the knot.
In 2007, Prince William allegedly broke up with Kate Middleton over the phone. Book author Robert Lacey wrote about how Kate had to excuse herself from a work meeting to answer the call.
His book, Battle of Brothers will ship out on October 20. A year before Joe Jonas caused a stir by dumping Taylor Swift over the phone, Prince William reportedly did the same to Kate Middleton. The difference is that William was a full-on adult and the call lasted an hour and not 25 seconds.
Based on Robert Lacey’s explosive new book, Battle of the Brothers, the couple hit a rough patch in 2007 which lasted for a year. It was then that William had the nerve to call Kate while she was working to break up.  The Mirror broke down the excerpt:
“It is said that Kate excused her self from a meeting to take a call from William—then a ‘hard-drinking’ Army officer often spotted at nightclubs–and shut herself in a room for more than an hour while the pair discussed their future.
They broke up during the call but the split didn’t last long—they got back together 10 weeks later, claims royal biographer Robert Lacey in new book ‘Battle of Brothers.’ During those three months, William found dating difficult and was turned down by a “surprising” number of young women, and he missed Kate and her family, it is alleged.”
According to Lacey, even though Prince William tried to make the most of his time as a single man, the women he was after “could suss out the truth about where his heart lay, even if he himself could not.”
The split obviously didn’t last. Ten weeks later, Will and Kate were spotted kissing at a party. As we know from staying up to watch the royal wedding, Kate and William went on to get married and become the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Aside from the “rural rival” affair, rumours and all the drama within the royal family, they’re sorta living happily ever after and William counts Kate as the best thing that ever happened to him.

Season 13 of The Real Housewives of New York City is shaping up to look a little different. “We’re working on next season,” Andy Cohen teased to Us Weekly in August 2020. “I’m excited for what we have planned.” The long-running reality TV show first saw changes during the summer of 2019 when Bethenny Frankel opted not to return for season 12 just before filming began. While fans often ask the Skinnygirl CEO to come back via social media, Bethenny’s made it clear that she’s done with the franchise. “I haven’t been watching. I saw the first episode and part of another one, so I don’t know what’s going on there. There’s a lot of talk about what’s going on there, and I read comments that people say to me, ‘Please come back,’ and ‘Please save the show,’” she told Fortune in July 2020. “It’s all flattering, and I wish the girls well. I’m doing other things, though, and I just don’t know how that really would fit into my life as is.” Later that month, Bethenny simply tweeted, “I AM NOT COMING BACK.” As the season played out, fans saw Tinsley Mortimer quit after she got engaged to off-again, on-again love Scott Kluth and moved to Chicago. “I, of course, am going to miss my new friendship with Leah and Sonja’s crazy antics with me,” Tinsley said during her final episode, referring to Leah McSweeney and Sonja Morgan. “I have changed so much since coming back to New York and moving into Sonja’s townhouse. … It’s taken me a little bit of time, but I finally feel like myself again. I feel confident again.” News broke in August 2020 that Dorinda Medley was the next RHONY star to exit the series. Cohen acknowledged at the time that Dorinda struggled during season 12. “She was in a bad place, her house had been flooded, her dad was sick. We lost Bethenny right as filming began and we lost Tinsley halfway through the season. So maybe Dorinda didn’t feel like she could take the year off,” the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen host said on Radio Andy. “Sometimes taking a pause is a good thing and I am really hopeful that this is indeed a pause and that she would rejoin the show at some point. … I think a pause is a good thing and she will come back renewed and refreshed.” While Dorinda may be back in the future, she won’t be included on the upcoming season. Scroll through for everything we know — so far — about season 13:

Breast cancer doesn’t discriminate. People from all walks of life battle with the disease, including celebrities. Many have spoken out about their own battles. Julia Louis-Dreyfus went public with her breast cancer diagnosis in September 2017 via Instagram. Nearly one year later, she had successfully beaten the illness and returned to work on her acclaimed HBO series, Veep. On Good Morning America in 2019, Louis-Dreyfus said that she wants to help other women going through the same health battle. “It sounds kind of corny, but there’s something about after you’ve walked through something like this, which is such a crisis, to be able to help someone who’s then going through,” the Seinfeld alum said. “It’s very, sort of, comforting to yourself in a weird way. It really is something that I’m happy to do. It gives me a lot of energy and a good feeling, for sure.” Cynthia Nixon was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. When she was a child, the Sex and the City alum’s mother, Ann, successfully battled this disease as well. Two years after her diagnosis, Nixon revealed that she was cancer-free. The former New York gubernatorial candidate later became an advocate for breast cancer awareness by becoming an ambassador for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. “I want them most to hear me saying that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself,” she said on Nightline in 2008. “So, the only thing to really be afraid of is if you don’t go get your mammograms, because there’s some part of you that doesn’t want to know, and that’s the thing that’s going to trip you up. That’s the thing that could have a really bad endgame.” Meanwhile, Wanda Sykes revealed in 2011 that her breast cancer was caught in the early stages. She underwent a double mastectomy to eliminate her risk. “I had real big boobs, and I just got tired of knocking over stuff,” the comedian said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show at the time. “Every time I eat … Oh, lord. I’d carry a Tide stick everywhere I go. My back was sore, so it was time to have a reduction. It wasn’t until after the reduction that, in the lab work, the pathology, that they found that I had DCIS [ductal carcinoma in situ] in my left breast. I was very, very lucky because DCIS is basically stage-zero cancer.” The New Adventures of Old Christine alum continued, “I have a lot of breast cancer history on my mother’s side of the family. I had both breasts removed … Now I have zero chance of having breast cancer.” Scroll down to learn about other famous breast cancer survivors.
