2020 ArtWorks Detroit, benefit for Matrix Human Services goes online

Matrix Human Services will host their 2020 ArtWorks Detroit premier art auction, online and free of charge, Aug. 24-27.
The At Home Edition – a week-long re-imaged experience – will include a silent auction, in-person preview and virtual celebration.

For the past 24 years, local and national artists have rallied their talents to benefit under served Detroiters by way of ArtWorks Detroit with more than 80 artists, each year, donating works of art to raise funds for Matrix Human Services, a nonprofit Detroit-based social services organization that supports children, families and seniors.
The online silent auction, which includes renowned artists like Desiree Kelly and Sydney James to name a few, will be 8 a.m. Aug. 24 through 10 p.m. Aug. 27.

Registered bidders will also be able to experience art during in-person preview Aug. 25-26.
The virtual celebration will be 6-8 p.m. Aug. 27 and will include a live set by DJ Drake Phifer with features from select artists and this year’s honorary chairs, Dr. Daniel and Janet Haddad, Ed and Karen Ogul, and David and Linda Whitaker.
